Taking care of leathers can be a simple task, a service, or an erotic exchange of energy. For some it is a fetish for a type of boot, an act of community service, or an expression of service to a select few people. The individuals that take on the identity of being someone that cares for leathers and boots are often called bootblacks.

This class will be an introduction to the basics of taking care of high shine and oil tan boots and leather garments with some discussion on how it can be used in different contexts.

Attendees are invited to bring a basic pair of boots or a garment that needs some basic work (cleaning/conditioning) and any bootblacking supplies they may already own. There will be opportunities for some hands-on practice. If you don’t have supplies, the basics should be available to borrow.

FMSD Workshop: Impact Play

Back by Popular Demand

Fetish Men San Diego is excited to welcome you to an upcoming hands-on workshop focused on impact play, one of the most common and versatile forms of kink play. Whether you are curious, just getting started, or looking to refine your technique, this workshop is designed to meet you where you are.

Impact play can include flogging, paddling, spanking, and other forms of consensual striking. While it may look simple from the outside, doing it well and safely takes knowledge, communication, and practice. This workshop offers a supportive environment where learning and exploration are encouraged without pressure or judgment.

Throughout the afternoon, experienced tops and educators will be available to:

  • Demonstrate a variety of impact techniques

  • Talk through different toys, styles, and approaches

  • Answer questions openly and honestly

  • Offer personalized coaching for those who want hands-on guidance

The focus of the workshop is not just technique, but also consent, safety, and communication. We will discuss negotiation, reading reactions, aftercare, and how to build confidence as both a top and a bottom. This is an ideal space for beginners and the impact-curious, as well as those looking to sharpen existing skills.
