This pandemic has taken a toll on our leather. We have just not been wearing and using it as much as we normally would have. Much of our leather has been in the closet waiting for the day we will use it again with more regularity. The lack of use isn’t good for it. Leather is meant to be worn and used. Whether it’s our boots, vest, harness, chaps, jock, or jacket, leather needs to be taken care of to keep it at its best and ready to for use.
Bio:
Steve Wendt is well known in the community for his leather work. He has been working with leather since 1989. In the 90's he owned Moose Leather on Upas St. here in San Diego. Steve took a break from the leather business for a 20-year stint at Qualcomm, all while still doing leather on the side. He has extensive experience with chaps, vests, pants, shirts, harnesses, and the like. He offers alterations and repairs in addition to original work.
