I. Sensual, Exciting, and HOT

Saturday, September 30, 2017
3PM to 6PM
FMSD Workshop - Hillcrest
$5 Requested Donation*
Tickets: PayPal.Me/FMSanDiego OR pay at the door

We are happy to announce our SECURED Workshop Space in Hillcrest! Be among the first to see it by attending out first Male-Only workshop taught by Justin!

This 201 Workshop will go over the basic skills required in playing with fire in Safe, Sensual and Exciting ways. The first portion of the Workshop will go over safety precautions, you MUST arrive for the safety portion if you intend to experience Fire Play from either side of the slash. The latter portion of the class will go over the use of Fire Wands and Fire Spanking; you definitely do NOT want to miss these!

After the initial demo, Justin and his assistants will have stations set up to give our men the opportunity to experience the joys of setting one another on fire! If that sounds frightening, here are a few things to settle your mind:

Q: What do I wear?
A: We ask that anyone interested in playing with Fire be willing to be nude; this ultimately reduces the risk of accidents. There is both an outdoor shower and a pool at the venue.

Q: What should I bring?
A: Towels (recommend 2) & Bathing Suit (nudity is OK). Street Legal to the door, however. If you're interested in helping out by bringing a snack, drinks, or whatever else, please contact Doriam!

Q: Where does the fire go?
A: We start with the back, usually. But fire can be applied anywhere on the body.

Q: I'm a hairy guy, do I need to shave?
A: Not necessary. While Fire may cause your hair to burn a little, but not enough to be noticeable.

Q: Where is this place?
A: The location is being kept private until 48 hours prior to the event per the owners request; provide an Email Address and Full Name when purchasing tickets in order to receive the Address in advance. If you would like to pay at the door, Email DoriamFMSD@GMail.com for the address beginning 9/28.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to email Doriam at DoriamFMSD@GMail.com! You may purchase your tickets in advance by going to Paypal.me/FMSanDiego

*All donations go back into planning future events, workshops, parties and social for Fetish Men San Diego. If you are unable to meet the requested donation, you are still welcome to come - we ask that you give what you can, whether that be $1, a smile, or a lending hand in Setup and Tear Down.

II. Leather Social & FMSD Discussion Group

Many of you have asked that we begin hosting events that take place outside of bar environments, as well as a discussion night for FMSD. We need YOUR help to get both of these things off of the ground!

We are looking for venues for brunches, potlucks, dinners, day outings and more! If you have any ideas for a location, whether it be a restaurant, public or private venue, please send it over to Scott at FetishMenSanDiego@GMail.com.

Additionally, for group discussions, we are hoping to find a space that will be comfortable for 20+ men to come together and have open, productive discussion as it applies to Relationships, Leather, Health, etc. If you have a venue idea for this, or a topic you'd like to bring for discussion, please email Doriam at DoriamFMSD@GMail.com.

III. Impact Play Demo w/ Jerry

This is your chance to learn what it's like to find pleasure in different sensations. The sting of a paddle as it collides with your ass, or the thud of a flogger while it brushes against your back before a quick crack sends tingling across all of your senses. Who knows, you might like it more than you thought.

IV. Folsom Street Fair '17

This past weekend was Folsom Street Fair 2017; for those who missed it, I (Doriam) just wanted to share a little bit about the experience with you all. As it was my first time, there were a lot of things that I got to see and experience that I had not expected, I'll keep this short -- if you have any interest in reading the full experience, contact me and I will link you to the Blog Post elsewhere where I talk about the entire trip.

The weekend started on Friday with a trip to Mr. S Leather, which was FLOODED with men from end-to-end, shopping for new gear for the weekend. As a young pup, my tail was a-waggin' once I made my way over to the Puppy Park section where I stumbled upon several new pieces of gear for the weekend, including a new Woofy Tail and Jock Holster! Not too far from Mr. S, we found ourselves at Leather Etc. where members of my Family found new harnesses, kilts, arm bands, vests and more at a FRACTION of the cost at Mr. S.

Later that evening, we made our way to Worn Out West where we found amazing deals on Toys on consignment, leather pants and chaps, latex shirts, former year Folsom tee's and so much more! I recommend it as a MUST the next time you're in the Castro. After dinner that evening, we made our way to the San Francisco Eagle (Eagle Tavern) where we were able to wear our new gear and make new friends who were locals, or visiting for Folsom Street Fair! I, unfortunately, missed out on the KUF (Kinksters Under Forty) party, but heard it was a great time from gentleman I met the rest of the time!

The following night, we saw the Baloney Boys at Oasis, and if you've never been to an All-Male Revue - make it a POINT to go watch these guys next time you're in San Francisco! The show was worth every penny! After the show, I made my way over for the All-Male Party hosted by The 15 Association. Their play space was everything I could have imagined and more, between the aesthetic, the focus and the energy exchange happening between all of the men playing that evening, I can't put in to words how perfect of a party it was! Not to mention, many of our own FMSD Member's made their way to the same party!

Sunday's Street Fair was full of amazing performances, kinksters hanging from street signs, locked in
cages, flogged by Mr. S Employees, vendors from all corners of the Kink-iverse were floating around happy to share in this experience with our Brothers and Sisters. There were LIVE performances from the Models from Steamworks, Men and Women walking around entirely in the nude, I might have even caught a few back alley blow jobs while walking down the street! But what's most important was that everyone who was attending FSF was there to enjoy one another, everyone was free to express their fetishes, their happiness, with people who they might have otherwise completely disregarded. It was an energy throughout the city blocks that FSF occupied, where it didn't matter if this was your first event EVER, or if you'd been doing this for your entire life. We were all brothers, sisters, cousins and friends - if even just for the day.

On the way home, I contacted many of the leaders for FMSD and my uncles, mentors, and teachers in the community to express my gratitude for their teaches. The excitement of being a First-Timer at FSF has gotten me excited to introduce some of our brothers next year to Folsom -- but now I'm getting ahead of myself, just scroll down to the Special Announcement for more on that. If you have never been to Folsom Street Fair, Dore Alley, or any kink conference at that, I need you to do something, not for me, but for YOU. I need you to make it a GOAL to attend FSF or DA, and experience it first hand.

VI. From ME to YOU

Thank you, first of all, for sticking through to the (near) end of this blog post. I understand this is much longer than our usual posts, but there has been so much to share with you that I couldn't contain myself! It is with YOUR support that I will continue to put out these posts, share events and gatherings with you, and continue to grow this Family.

VII. Special Announcements

Now that I've made you wait six sections, it's time to reveal our Special Announcements. I've mentioned before that I am planning on making 2018 a big year for FMSD. This is just a tiny preview of what we have planned for you, and while all of the details are not finished yet, we will do everything in our power to get it taken care of.

Parties - FMSD would like to start hosting a Bi-Monthly All-Male parties, alternating between small parties of 30-40 Men, to large parties up to 80+ Men. If all goes well, we will be announcing the next party sometime in October!

Volunteer Trip to DA/FSF - We are hoping that our new volunteer system will give us the opportunity to invite some of our volunteers to join us next year at Dore Alley or Folsom Street Fair! This will require some finessing, but we want you to know that we TRULY appreciate the hard work you put in as a Volunteer!

Ritual Swarm - I'll leave this one to your imaginations.

GMAG has invited FMSD and Leather Men to be models at the December 4th GMAG session in University Heights. Wear whatever makes you feel hot, powerful, and strong. Nudity, with gear and props or not, is not required although it is very welcome. Street legal to the door.

Looking for new photos of you and your gear? Just like all levels of drawing, sketching, and painting are welcome so are all levels of photography although with some restrictions.

The models will strike seven poses in the first 20 minutes, then rotate to the next set of models. After, each model returns to hold one pose for 15 to 20 minutes. Solos, duos, or trios of models on stage works. One or two is great, three is the maximum due to space restrictions.

I and the co-leaders of GMAG think it would be GREAT to have leather and kink models as it would definitely be a change of pace for the artists.

Need more info or have questions about this? Please contact Scott at FetishMenSanDiego@GMail.com.

IV. From ME to YOU

I'll keep this one short and sweet. I want to say thank you to each of you for your continued optimism and kind words. For my Brothers outside of San Diego, this includes you as well! Some of you have reached out, and I hope someday soon we can revisit the Fetish Men communities near you! Until then, please continue to reach out and we will build this together!

Have a great weekend, Gents!

Ritual Fire & GMAG

Table of Contents:

I. Ritual Fire

Brothers, this weekend is our next BIG EVENT: Ritual Fire; A Tribal Bonfire Experience! You are invited to attend our Cross-Over Event with Club X this Sunday, September 10th from 6:30 to 9:30pm at Fiesta Island.

Ritual Fire is designed to be a unifier for our communities, in preparation for Ritual Steel. Ritual Fire is about transformation and growth, and draws inspiration from the life cycle of the Phoenix, a fire bird of Greek mythology - When tragedy draws near, the Phoenix ignites into a magnificent flame, and reemerges from its ashes, reborn.

We encourage you to look within yourselves to that which hinders your growth. By indulging in the majesty of the flames, and the energy shared beteeen our Brothers and Sisters, it is our hope that your troubles will burn to ash and, like the Phoenix, you will rise again with renewed vitality and a breath of new life.

If you've never been to Fiesta Island, it is located off of Highway 5. Keep an eye on our Like Page for an exact location on the day of the event; we will also be marking the space with an "X" in the form of a brightly lit St. Andrew's Cross! Volunteers are needed to reserve portions of the venue throughout the day, if you are able and willing to help please email DoriamFMSD@GMail.com.

II. Guidelines & Expectation

The evening will be filled with Tribal Energy from beginning to end. Members of the Fetish Men San Diego leadership team, as well as representatives from Club X, have volunteered themselves to lead blessings, performances, and interactions designed to make the event memorable and ever-lasting for each of our Brothers and Sisters.

We recommend arriving between 6:30 and 7:00pm, as Sunset is scheduled to happen shortly after 7'o'clock. As the Sun begins to set, we will have one of Fetish Men's Elders, Papa Tony, lead us through the Opening Ceremony and Blessing for the evening to get everyone in the right frame of mind for the evening.

After this, we will have several members of our community contributing to the Tribal Energy with performances to light up the night. Attendees will be encouraged to observe these performances, and engage in Fire Photography* if they so choose!

Toward the end of the evening, we will re-congregate near the main fire. Our Leaders will welcome any of our willing Brothers and Sisters to identify their weights, and to leave the ashes of those weights behind.

* If you are interested in getting your photo taken at the Fire Photo set up, you MUST have a Bathing Suit and be ready to apply a water layer to your skin. Photos will be taken by Scott B. Smith (FMSD) and released to attendees within days of Ritual Fire.

III. Nude Male Modeling

Have you thought about being a male model for gay male artists? Or wondered where you could go to practice your sketching, drawing, painting, or photography skills of male models? Check out the Gay Men's Art Group of San Diego.

IV. From ME to YOU

I would like to thank you all for your continued support. Over the next several months, I will be trying a few new things and see how they go - I ask that you bare with me during this trial period, as it may take a few attempts before I finally have it down.

I would also like to thank Scott B. S. for his contribution to this blog post & FMSD as a whole! He has been actively working with GMAG to make this happen for roughly 2 months ago. Many of you may not know, but Scott is one of the greatest contributors to FMSD since I started back in December 2016, and a lot of what you see is thanks to his diligence and patience. So next time you see Scott, please thank him for his efforts in keeping this ship afloat! I certainly couldn't do any of this without him.

I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday. If you are able to volunteer and help reserve space on the beach, email me DoriamFMSD@GMail.com or Scott at FetishMenSanDiego@GMail.com

A Breath of New Life

III. From ME to YOU

I. FMSD Party Recap

Howdy Gents, we first wanted to thank each and every one of you who showed interest in the Fetish Men San Diego party that took place this past weekend (September 2nd)! All-in-all, we are considering this event to have been a success, with a few hiccups along the way, but overall we are proud of what we accomplished!

But don't just take my word for it! If you haven't had the opportunity yet, read Papa Tony's review of the event here!  We would like to make this a regular event, but need your feedback to make it happen!  If you have any insight of your own that you'd like to contribute, please email DoriamFMSD@GMail.com.

We also had a few players misplace their equipment. If you find any toys that don't belong to you, please notify me and I will do my best to find its home. Vice-versa, if you have lost any toys, let me know what it is that you lost and I will keep my eyes and ears peeled to get them back to you!

II. Ritual Fire - Volunteers Needed

This Sunday, in conjunction with Club X San Diego, we are hosting Ritual Fire: A Tribal Bonfire Social. Starting at 6:30, we will have kinksters from across San Diego arriving to share in the energy. At 7pm SHARP, Papa Tony will be leading the opening ceremony, inviting each of our Brothers and Sisters to open themselves up. Jason will be leading drumming throughout the night, and many of our local players have volunteered to demonstrate their skills with light- and fire-based play. Keep track of the Facebook Event and our Fetlife Account for details on the exact location.

Speaking of volunteers, we wanted to thank everyone who has reached out about potentially teaching a class, offering themselves for setup/tear-down, giving advice and words of wisdom, etc. In the coming weeks, we will be revealing the volunteer system we're working on to show YOU how much your efforts and support means to your Brothers. Some positions on this list will include:

  • Ambassadors - Duties include attending events and answering questions, welcoming the new folk, and generally being friendly.
  • Dungeon Monitors (DMs) - Oversee play, ensuring that guidelines are being followed, and that attendees are engaging in Safe, Sane, Consensual (SSC) & Risk-Aware Consensual Kink (RACK).
  • Instructors - May be asked to lead a discussion or demonstration on a skill associated with BDSM/Fetish/Kink/Leather. If you have a skill or topic you are particularly passionate about, please contact us and let us know!
We will have more information available soon! But for now, we are in need of Ambassadors for Ritual Fire, as well as people to help reserve the location.

III. From ME to YOU.

It was my pleasure to organize the FMSD Party last weekend, and I was thrilled to see that so many of you enjoyed it! The stress involved with planning an event was not something I was thrilled to carry at first, but seeing it unfold and blossom, watching as my Brothers experienced the work we'd put in made everything entirely worth it. I won't go into excruciating details, but the results of the party have left me feeling as though I am floating in mid-air. I have been granted a new vitality, a breath of new life, and further excitement to continue planning events. Now, I need your help.

With all of the excitement, I need to make sure that I am listening to the most important part of Fetish Men San Diego; and that's you. Without my Brothers, we have no organization, no club, and no group to provide all of this work for. So, if there is something you'd like to see FMSD do more often, classes you'd be interested in attending, old events you'd like to see revisited, etc. Let me know by contacting DoriamFMSD@GMail.com

Additionally, we need a support team. Eventually, we hope that FMSD will begin building community leaders. In the same way I was inspired to step up, I hope some of YOU will consider stepping up, being available, and taking the opportunity to share these connections with your Brothers.

Have a wonderful week, Gentleman. I look forward to seeing you all at Ritual Fire - we may have one more post this week before then. Keep posted.
