The weekend of March 17, 2018 we celebrated San Diego Leather Pride at the Worldbeat Cultural Center in Balboa Park. The weekend was a blast, with several wins for the members of Fetish Men San Diego!

Thursday Night's "All Club's Night" and "Leather Olympics" kicked off the weekend with 4 of our men representing the team and placing First at the Leather Olympics! Congratulations to Frank W, Jamie C, Jody M, and pup Clement for there great work and thank you for Scott, Chris, Mike, and several more for taking the time out of their day to volunteer at the FMSD Table selling pins and tickets for CRUZE!

Friday Night kicked off the contest for San Diego Bootblack, Ms San Diego Leather, and Mr San Diego Leather 2018! The four contestants this year represented themselves in front of a panel of judges, introducing who they are are Leatherfolk and expressing their plans for the year ahead - win or lose. Saturday morning's interviews began at 10am and the contest continued through the evening until the announcement of the title family that evening.

FMSD would like to congratulate Ben and Doriam for running in this years contest and baring themselves on stage for our local community to see! We would also like to congratulate this years title family:

It's almost here, gentleman! The accumulation of the last 3+ months of work for me. San Diego Leather Pride! For those who don't know, I am running for Mr. San Diego Leather 2018 along with another FMSD Member - we've been working hard to do what we can before the contest, and now it's all about to blow!

In case you missed it, two of our members, Jody M. and Justin W., competed the weekend of February 17, 2018 for the title of Mr. San Diego Eagle 2018! Both men put themselves out there for the community to see, and we are so proud to see these two men take the next step in their leadership journey. While the competition was close there could be only one Mr. San Diego Eagle!

III. San Diego Leather Pride!

San Diego Leather Pride is just two weeks away! This week of events starts Tuesday Night at MO's with Leather Show Tunes! Followed up with Tiger's Pictionary on Wednesday Night at #1 on Fifth!

All Club's Night & The Leather Olympics take place on Thursday, March 15th at the World Beat Cultural Center. Interested in manning the FMSD table or being a part of the team for the Leather Olympics? Email FetishMenSanDiego@GMail.com! This is a really fun and exciting way to represent the club, while still having a great time with the rest of our brothers and sisters!

Friday, March 16 is the Flag Raising in Hillcrest, followed by the opening ceremonies for San Diego Leather Pride. This will be your first chance to meet the four contestants running for local titles this year at SDLP. Following "Meet the Contestants", be sure to stick around for ~TWISTED~ a fetish dance party like none other, from 9pm to 1am!

III. Introduction to Rope Bondage, 4 Week Series

Hello Gentleman!

In an effort to keep our hard skills up and have more men playing safely, we've decided to begin doing 4 Week Workshops which will take someone from knowing nothing or very little of a skill, to being at least mildly proficient at the 101-20 level. Starting in February, Doriam will be taking a Maximum of 8 participants in for a Rope Bondage series. If you are interested, contact him at DoriamFMSD@GMail.com and continue reading below:

"Hi folks! I am excited to share my favorite kinks and fetishes with you in this series - Knowledge Transfer! This workshop will be 3 hours a day, 1 day a week for 4 weeks. The goal is to give you enough proficiency to scene and play comfortably with rope."

Week 1: Negotiation, Safety, Starting Knots I-III and Chest Harness I
Week 2: Chest Harness II, Hitch Tying I & II, Hip Harness I (+ Crotch Rope!)
Week 3: Leg Tie I, Wrist Restraint I, Hip Harness II
Week 4: Combination Ties, Scening with Rope

• Date/Time: Wednesday Evenings or Saturday Afternoons (TBD)
• Location: North Park, San Diego, CA
• Enrollment Cost: $20 donation paid to FMSD holds your spot, which will be refunded to you IF you attend the first day of class. If you do not attend, it will be considered a donation to FMSD and your spot will be given to another student. With 48-hour advance notice, this can be refunded if you cannot attend the workshop series.
• Additional Cost: Cost of material, discussed during first day of workshop. Costs for materials are $20+ depending on preference (Doriam's preference: 4 Lengths of Jute + Safety Scissors, roughly $30). PLEASE DO NOT BUY NEW ROPE BEFORE WEEK 1 WITHOUT TALKING TO DORIAM.
• Commitment: Four 3-hour workshops in February, if you miss one workshop you can make it up with Doriam independently based on availability.

For those not interested in participating in the discussion, the space will accommodate those who simply want to share space amongst brothers and enjoy the potluck!

I. San Diego Leather Pride!

Mark your calendars! San Diego Leather Pride is just around the corner! The week kicks off (officially) on Wednesday, March 14 2018 with Tiger's Pictionary!!

Thursday. March 15 is All Club's Night & the Leather Olympics! If you're interested in being a part of this years 4-Man team contact Scott at FetishMenSanDiego@GMail.com! This is a fun way to represent our club while still having a great time among the rest of our community!

Friday Night, March 16th from 4-5pm is the Leather Pride Flag Raising, followed by the opening ceremonies for SDLP Weekend and a blessing by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Plus! This will be your first time to meet the contestants for this years Mr. & Ms. San Diego Leather, and San Diego Boot Black 2018! Following "Meet the Contestants" stick around for ~TWISTED~ a fetish dance party like no other from 9pm to 1am!

II. Volunteer Opportunities!

Hello Gentleman!

We are looking for a few men who are willing to step up and help with a few specific positions as move forward this year! If you're interested in volunteering, please check out the following list and see if any of this is something you'd be willing to help us with!

• Social Media Assistant: This person works directly with Doriam and Scott to make sure events are posted to all of our social media platforms, including the FMSD Calendar, Facebook, Fetlife and any other resources we may use.

• Workshop Instructor: If you have a skill you'd like to share with your brothers, this is the place to do it! Our new Workshop Structure alternates between a technical hard skill (flogging, bondage, electro, etc.) and a sex-based skill (body worship, fuck machines, etc).

• Discussion/Social Host: If you are sociable and enjoy facilitating conversation among brothers, this may be a position for you! Each month, we lead a discussion on the 4th Sunday, alternating between sharing insight on a piece of fetish, kink, or Leather history and hosting a Sunday Potluck Social!
