WED OCT 23rd 7-9pm: Magnum & Co. Rap Group Discussion… Magnum & Co. will facilitate along with group interaction of discussion around mutual interest concerning bondage, discipline, domination, submission, sadism and masochism and other related topics!

Homework and preparation for Magnum's "A Circle of Men" Workshop:

1) Write a short letter to the type of DADDY, MASTER, DOMINANT you desire. (use your imagination & be creative!)

2) Write a short letter to the type of boy, slave, submissive you desire. (use you imagination & be creative!)

3) Bring 2-4 images that represents (for you) leather, fetish, BDSM, kink lifestyle or spirit. (it can be photos, illustrations, art, etc…and make 2 copies)

4) Write down 5 positive & 5 negative beliefs you might have or someone you know who's into BDSM. (i.e. Kinky folks are courageous…S&M are for psycho's…

5) Write down 5 things you don't like about people involved in BDSM.  (i.e. S&M men are sleazy)

6) Write down 5 beliefs you would prefer to have about BDSM.  (i.e. S&M is a spiritual path)

Recap of Bondage & Ropes Workshop, Wed. Oct. 16, 2013

There was "standing room only" as men came from as far as Orange County to attend the Men's Discussion event: "Bondage & Ropes" workshop facilitated by the illustrious Rob Ray!

First, all of the more than 45 men "checked in" and introduced themselves.

Rob Ray demonstrated and entertained us with his knowledge of simple and advanced knots and harnesses to keep our potential "play buddies" safely bound and restrained.

The men came equipped with rope and were excited, enthusiastic and ready to engage with each other.

Magnum, the "Master of Ceremonies" broke the men into groups for a more interactive, hands-on experience.

After more than an hour of practice and play, the group was treated to a full body restraint demo by Rob Ray.

As the workshop came to a close, some men gave positive feedback and expressed having more sense of skills and wanted more of these types of events to create fellowship and brotherhood.

Overall, this event was "fit to be tied"! See you at the next Men's Discussion, on Wednesday, October 23.

Presenter's Bio:

I have been a leather man for the better part of 25 years.  My involvement in our community has not always been consistent. However, my passion for kink & play has been.  One of my favorite things is using rope & cellophane for bondage.  I started my passion for rope at an early age, when I was a sea scout. At the age of 12 I learned basic & advanced knots & that translated easily into bondage.  I am currently very interested in suspension bondage of all types.  I do not consider myself an expert by any means but I am willing to impart my knowledge & show some of my skills to our FMSD Group.  I hope to see some of you on Oct 16. Until then play safe.

Bootblacking 101

Wednesday, October 2, 2013, 7PM.

If you’ve been instructed to learn how to take care of your Top’s boots and leathers or simply want to learn how to shine your boots good enough to feel proud heading out to an event, this class will help get you started.

Cobi, Southwest Bootblack 2010, will cover general techniques and products for cleaning and maintaining boots and leather items.  This IS a hands-on workshop!  Please bring something leather to work on (even better--bring someone in boots!) and bring your own supplies.

What you’ll need to build a basic kit:

Saddle Soap or glycerin soap (like Neutrogena)
Horsehair soap dauber
Horsehair shine/buffing brush
Toothbrush
Wax polish (Kiwi, Lincoln, Angelus)
Huberd’s shoe grease (if you have oil tan boots or leather items)
A soft, clean, lint-free, cotton cloth (a t-shirt will work )
Lint-free cotton towel or rag
Pantyhose
Spray bottle
Lighter

Cobi is celebrating his tenth year with Club X.  He currently serves as Secretary on their Board of Directors.  He shares his BDSM experiences at colleges and has taught classes on bootblacking, food play and making toys.  He also serves as Ambassador in the San Diego Leather Realm, helping curious people find their kink.  Cobi is the Southwest Bootblack 2010 and because of his playful instigating, was pinned "Mama's Bus Driver."
