Biggest SD Gay Leathermen's Event In Ten Years, June 30th
A lot has been going on in the last few weeks, making preparations for the BELT Party/FMSD Second Anniversary/Eagle Backroom Parties. There is a BIG team working on this in many locations. I've gotten confirmations from men from Arizona, Nevada, Mexico, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Long Beach, Riverside County and every part of San Diego County who definitely plan to attend:
Saturday, June 30th - just a few days away.
Two locations simultaneously: San Diego Eagle and Numbers Night Club. Why? Because we are going to need both locations, for sure.
At Numbers: GEAR FETISH Pre-Party starting at 9PM, followed by the BELT Party at 10PM.
At the Eagle: BACKROOM PARTY starting at 10PM. From what I hear, the bar is going to be restructured in a new way to make it much more intensely personal and private for men in gear.
The last time we had this many leather/fetishmen visiting from so many places was San Diego Leather Pride, March 2002. I suspect that this is going to be even bigger. I've been part of San Diego's leathermen community since 1977, so I know what I'm talking about.
Rather than just the usual FMSD "peace, love and brotherhood" vibe, this is more about lusty, raunchy, powerful, hyper-masculine MEN having big fun in large crowds.
To get ready, here are some tips:
- Review the Dress Code for Gear Nights so that you will be prepared properly.
- Check out the BELT Party official Press Release, and my explanation of what the BELT Party is all about. Both include many, many pictures.
- If you plan to do any shopping beforehand, I can recommend some local resources.
- If you want to volunteer, we can always use more good men to act as Community Representatives. What does this mean? We need friendly, outgoing men of all types to attend the party, have a great time, and be extra-friendly to folks who look shy or new. The payoff is that more of our brothers will want to join in, get involved and get the hell away from their computers in the future. To be a volunteer, show up at 6PM this Wednesday, June 20th. We will fill you in on the plans, and give you your identifying tag. Then, stick around for the Men's Discussion afterward.
- We can still use some local sofas to use for out-of-town dignitaries to sleep on. Leaders in the kinky-gay-male community in various nearby cities are always a good bet for house guests, because they are men of integrity and immense value. Email papatony @mac.com if you want to help out.

BELT is back! This month Cub Club's partners Dangilo the Uberglitterati and Ned Cato Jr. (Geek Knight Productions) are bringing San Diego's newest authentic fetish dance party event to Numbers on Saturday, JUNE 30, 2012.
MAIN ROOM: San Diego's Superstar DJ SHANE STIEL is going to get your blood flowing and your senses aroused with his sexy, nasty house beats. He's promised to take us all on a journey that will set this night apart from any other, and fill your body with music. and take your experience to the next level.
SIDESHOW ROOM: San Fransisco's DJ Gehno Aviance will be in the booth, complimenting the debauchery that happens around him, and he's sure to bring down some of that authentic attitude that can only be found in the city that hosts Dore Alley and the Folsom Street Fair.

SIDESHOW ROOM RULES: The sideshow is where we set up most of our "entertainment" and if you were in attendance last time, you experienced the adult fun. While everyone is encouraged to come as they are, and enjoy the MAIN ROOM. The SIDESHOW ROOM will be reserved for those that want to take their "BELT" experience to the next level.
A DRESS (or lack of DRESS) CODE will be enforced upon entry. Guests of Belt that wish to enter the "back" SIDESHOW room are expected to wear FETISH GEAR* (a leather BELT will not be sufficient), and if you don't have fetish gear then STRIP it DOWN! Take off your shirt or pants, or both. (Clothes Check will be open)
Someone will be standing guard at the entrance and enforcing the rules, so make sure you wear your favorite skivvies. (Ladies, this rule is genderless, so if you choose to strip down please wear the appropriate undergarments, still have to abide by SAN DIEGO LAWS)
*FETISH GEAR can include but is not limited to Leather (shirt, pants, boots, etc), a harness, corsets, spandex, latex wear, Furry fandom wear, kilts, costumes, UNIFORMs, Puppy gear, cross dressing, nylons, sheers, etc. If it's your fetish, and you can WEAR IT WITH CONVICTION, then you are in...P.S.... Mask's will need to be removed upon entry for security purposes and ID check.
DEMONSTRATIONS will be happening throughout the night (ranging from flogging, bondage, electroplay, foot play, puppy play, clamping, etc.) You won't want to miss a thing...
Entertainment and authenticity will be in the form of SAN DIEGO power couple: GLITZ GLAMOUR (2011 Nicky Award Winner) & ANTHONY ROLLAR (MR SAN DIEGO LEATHER 2010 & 2011 Nicky Award winner). Back in 2011, a team of young men calling themselves CubClub attended Folsom Street Fair, and came home inspired by the spirit of camaraderie and Tribe that they experienced there.
They already had experience creating exciting dance-parties, but now they wanted to create something radically new for San Diego in the same spirit as the Folsom Street Fair.
They succeeded. This is a whole new tradition that folks can depend upon.
Dore Alley, Folsom Street Fair, and the International Mr. Leather Contest all started small (not so long ago) and got more and more popular as time went by. Now, they are locked-in as if they have been around since the beginning of time, because they DELIVER a wonderful result, time after time.
Now, Southern California has something exciting, big and beautifully-organized that happens regularly. People are starting to plan their vacations around the BELT parties!
Joy doesn't work if only a few "elite" folks get to experience it. Joy works best when EVERYBODY gets some!
Now that there have been several BELT parties, CubClub's reputation for providing excellent social events is unsurpassed. I'm going to let the pictures tell the story now:
