Upcoming Events


SOFAS WANTED

We are going to have plenty of out-of-town dignitaries visiting in the next month or so (June 30th's BELT party, and for Pride in July), and I'd sure like them to be able to crash at local men's houses and sleep on local sofas (or an inflatable bed). In a horrid economy, it's courteous to encourage the best men from other cities to save some buck$. I do this every year, and it's a blast.  These aren't random, untrustworthy strangers - they are the finest kind of men in our community. 


Last time we did this, I had nine guys staying over at my place, with one sleeping on the kitchen floor on an air-mattress. Perfect gentlemen, and a great experience. Lots of titleholders and community volunteers… The kind of guys who make a community proud!  Check out this picture to get an idea of the men that tend to come down and participate in our events.  Let me know if you have any sleeping accommodations you can spare. 'Queens of Beer' to open first LGBT brewery ever in San Diego - The same folks who have done such a magnificent job of owning and operating Urban Mo's, Baja Betty's and Gossip Grill have now opened a fourth establishment - Hillcrest Brewing Co. - at the corner of Normal and University. It is all about artisan pizza and locally-brewed beer.  Based on their past successes (and deep commitment to our community), I expect it to do very well.


UPDATED INFORMATION ABOUT THE BIG PARTY ON THE 30TH

- Both the Eagle AND Numbers are hosting Back Room Parties on the 30th.  This is a great idea, because we need to bring that extra-hot energy back to San Diego. The Eagle can pull it off more often on a regular basis now, because they will have done the work to make it possible. Go to one party, and follow-up with the other. You win twice!

- There is a large team of men who will be acting as Community Representatives/Party Hosts at the BELT Party at Numbers. That way, the shy new guys who show up will feel welcomed into a wonderfully cohesive community.

GEMINI BIRTHDAY PARTY THIS FRIDAY

On Friday, June 15th, 7PM onward, Mike Russell and Robert are hosting a birthday party at the San Diego Eagle. If your birthday occurs between June 16th to July 15th, come and celebrate with other festive Geminians. There might be some giveaway goodies and a bar-special, so come on by!

UPCOMING EVENTS

I will be at the Beat and Greet this Friday, teaching flogging as usual - For all of your Flogging Tops, I will be teaching how to "read" the bottoms, so that you get the feedback essential to your craft.  If you're both getting the full experience, you will have a lot more fun!


Wed. Jun 13, 6:30-9:30PM (Second Wednesday of each month) - Play games at Dave & Buster's to benefit Toys for Tots.

Thu. Jun 14, 9pm-1am; Red Hankie Social Night at the Eagle.  Second Thu. of each month

Fri. Jun 15, 8:30PM-1AM: FRIDAY NIGHT BEAT AND GREET, downtown, hosted by Bryan Teague - American Leatherboy 2010, tiger - Ms San Diego Leather 2010, caryl - San Diego's premier Sea Monkey Trainer, and Mike Underwood - San Diego's very own Curmudgeonly teddy bear. Third Fri. of each month. This is a GREAT educational event if you want some hands-on training in a safe environment.

Sat. Jun 16, 9:30PM-2AM: LL Bear Dance Party @ Rich's San Diego. Third Saturday of each month. Lots of leathermen attend this event. Shirtless with a harness appears to be the dress code!

Wed. Jun 20, 7-11PM: TNG social event at Bamboo Lounge. TNG stands for "The Next Generation", which is a kinky social group for younger men and women from 18 to 35 years old. This particular event is in the style of a group discussion. Third Wednesday of each month.

Wed. Jun 20, 7-9PM: MEN'S DISCUSSIONS.  Moderated by California LeatherSir 2012 Sam. This has turned out to be ideal for building friendships by getting to know men outside of the bar/cruising scene. First and third Wednesday of each month. Topic: Staying Connected, Cyber Dating And Social Sites On The Internet

Thu. Jun 21, 9-PM-Midnight: Yellow Hankie Social Night at the Eagle. First and Third Thu. of each month.

Fri. Jun 22, 10:30PM: San Diego Eagle Stud Night (party with the bad boyz of porn) featuring Jackson Lawless. Looking forward to seeing all the hot Leathermen,  Pups and FetishMen. 

Sat. Jun 23, 10pm: Underwear Party and Contest at the Eagle, and Kane's Jock Raffle Fundraiser.  Fourth Sat. of each month. Everyone is invited to strip down to those boxers,  briefs or "street" legal jocks and join in the fun,  you do not have to enter the contest. Although our 1st prize is $100 Cash and 2nd prize is a $25 bar tab., Clothes check opens at 10pm and the contest will be held at midnight. Your evening will be hosted by Mr. San Diego Eagle 2012,  Eli



Fri. Jun 29, 8:30PM-1AM: MEN-ONLY Fri. NIGHT BEAT AND GREET, downtown, hosted by Bryan Teague - American Leatherboy and Mike Underwood - San Diego's very own Curmudgeonly teddy bear. The Men-Only version is on the FIFTH Fri. of each month, such as August 31 and Nov. 30th of 2012. There will be hands-on training for folks who want to learn from experts in a very safe environment. I will be there, teaching flogging as usual.

Sat. June 30, 10PM onward: Wolf's Backroom Revisited!! party at the Eagle.



Sat. June 30, 9Pm −1PM: BELT PARTY/FMSD 2nd Anniversary Party at Numbers.


Sun. Jul 1, 5PM, CIGARS & BOOTS on the patio at Redwing. First Sun. of each month. Wear whatever gear makes you feel extra-sexy!  If you like a low-pressure, comfortable event with men that you can relate to, this one is for you. 

Thu. Jul 5, 9-PM-Midnight: Yellow Hankie Social Night at the Eagle. First and Third Thu. of each month.

Fri, Jul 6, 7-9PM;  SDLOG educational event. First Friday of each month. at the Joyce Beers Community Center, by the Aladdin restaurant near Ralph's supermarket on University. 

Sat. Jul 7, 9PM-2AM; BearNight Dance at Numbers. $5 before 10PM. First Sat. of each month. Lots of leathermen attend this event, and it comes highly recommended… Here are some reviews


Fri. Jul 13, 9PM-1AM: DRESS IT UP/STRIP IT DOWN at the Eagle; 2nd Fri. of each month. Hosted by Mr. San Diego Eagle 2012 Eli. It's the nicest, friendliest crowd you'll see at a leather bar. Here are a few reviews, if you haven't been to one yet. Dress to impress if you've got the gear, or show us some skin - I promise you'll be glad that you did. Here are some pictures from Oct., February, March, April, June and September. Notice how HAPPY everybody is. You deserve to be that happy too.
